King Cove Bible Chapel's Doctrinal Statement

1.       We believe the scriptures of the Old and New Testament are the inspired, infallible, inerrant word of God, and that He has preserved His original word for us in the English language, perfectly pure as He promised, in the King James Bible. (2 Timothy 3:16; 2 Peter 1:20-21; Psalm 12:6-7; Exodus 34:1, 27-29)

2.       We believe in one God, eternally existing in three Persons: Father, Word (Son-Jesus Christ) and Holy Spirit. (Genesis 1:26-27; Deuteronomy 6:4-5; John 1:1-3, 14; 10:30; 1 John 5:7; Revelation 19:11-13)

3.       We believe that Jesus Christ was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin, Mary, and true God and true Man. (Isaiah 7:14; Luke 1:34-35; Matthew 1:18; John 1:1-2, 14; Philippians 2:5-8; Hebrews 4:15)

4.       We believe that man was created in the image of God; that he sinned and thereby incurred not only physical death, but also that spiritual death which is separation from God, and that all human beings are born with a sin nature. (Genesis 1:27; Psalm 51:5; Romans 3:10-18, 23; 5:12; James 1:14-15

5.       We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ died for our sins according to the Scripture as a representative and substitutionary sacrifice; and that all believing in Him are justified through His shed blood. (Isaiah 53:6; Hebrews10:12-17; 2 Corinthians 5:21; Romans 10:9; Ephesians 1:17; Romans 5:1, 18-19)

6.       We believe in the resurrection of the crucified body of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His ascension into Heaven, and in His present life there for us, as High Priest, Mediator, and Intercessor. (Acts 1:3, 9-11; 2:23;  Luke 24:2-6; Mark 16:6; Hebrews 4:14-15; Isaiah 53:12; Romans 8:34; Hebrews 7:25; I Timothy 2:5)

7.       We believe in “that blessed hope,” the personal, pre-tribulational, pre-millennial return of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. ( 1Thessalonians 4:13-18; John 14:1-3; Titus 2:11-13;)

8.       We believe that all who receive by faith the Lord Jesus Christ are born again of the Holy Spirit, and thereby become children of God. (Titus 3:5-8; Romans 8:9; Galatians 4:6; Ephesians 4:30; Hebrews 7:25; John 3:5-8; 10:28; Jude 24)

9.       We believe in the bodily resurrection of the just and unjust, the everlasting blessedness of the saved and the everlasting, conscious punishment of the lost. Luke 16:19-24; 1 Corinthians 15:50-58; 1 Thessalonians 1:10; 4:13-18; John 11:16-20)

10.   We believe in the spreading of the Gospel as Jesus said, “Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.(Mark 16:15; Acts 1:8; Matthew 28:16-20)
